Extreme Tetrom 7.2


Less than 24 hours after my initial itch.io release and I’m already patching it. Extreme Tetrom 7.2 improves high score display and makes some changes to scoring in general:

  • Fixed bug where combos weren’t counted towards score.
  • Combos are worth a little more to your grade.
  • Quads are worth more to your grade. This fixes the situation where a quad could be effectively worse than a triple because of the extra level progress for a quad.
  • Graded modes show timestamps on the high score page now.
  • Graded modes and extreme survival modes (Intense, Intense Plus, Extreme) show the high score on two lines in-game so the timestamp doesn’t run off the screen anymore.
  • Your grade is phat now.

As a consequence of these changes, scores and grades will be higher. The change to scoring is larger than the change to grading. Because scoring is easier now, this update does not wipe your high scores - those games were underrated relative to current score values, not from a version where scoring was more generous.

I recommend updating for the in-game high score display improvement.
